(CMR) Mikkyle Brandon Leslie-Ebanks (Mikkyle Brandon Leslie) (34) was arrested earlier this afternoon at the Owen Roberts Airport in relation to a shooting that occurred on Friday evening and is currently being held at the detention center. He was formally arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and suspicion of possession of an unlicensed firearm and remains in police custody.
Leslie-Ebanks is said to be residing in the United States and returned to Cayman about two weeks ago. He was scheduled to return this evening when authorities picked him up at the airport shortly before 5:00 pm.
Just after 8:30 pm Friday night, 21 February, police and other emergency services were dispatched to Shedden Road by the 9-1-1 Communication Center, where it was reported that shots were fired at a location resulting in one man being injured.
The injured man was transported to the hospital after suffering from gunshot wounds and was immediately treated. He remains in the hospital where he is believed to be critical but stable.
