(CMR) The Public Health Department has published the COVID-19 vaccination schedule for the week commencing Monday 1st February 2021.
The COVID-19 vaccination program continues for all persons in Stage 1, Groups A, B, C and Stage 2, Group A (see details below).
The Health Services Authority (HSA) and the Cayman Islands Airport Authority (CIAA) have partnered to improve the process of delivering the COVID-19 vaccination. Effective 27 January 2021, the COVID Vaccine Clinic was relocated to the Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) check-in area.
The latest schedule will primarily focus on the second dose for persons from Stage 1, Group A. Individuals who received their first dose at a District Health Centre can receive their second dose at the airport should they choose to do so on their appropriate date and Surname time. The airport provides a large space and ample parking improving the efficiency of the vaccine delivery, reducing wait times and expediting the overall process. Persons are encouraged to come throughout your allocated time slot as well.
Individuals receiving their second dose are reminded that the date noted on the vaccination card for the second dose is the earliest that is recommended. Public Health will not be administering the vaccine before the date noted on your vaccination card.
The Public is reminded to adhere to the published schedule to limit congestion at the various vaccination sites.
When receiving your second dose, you MUST also bring along your vaccination card reflecting your first dose.
NOTE:
The Public Health COVID Vaccination schedule for this Saturday 6th February 2021 has been revised (schedule 1.2.v2) to reflect the ORIA Offsite Clinic hours 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
