(CMR) Cayman Marl Road has received exclusive information about an attempted prison escape on Thursday evening at the George Town hospital.
Sources indicate the prisoner ran from the hospital and was later apprehended in the Seventh Day Adventist Church parking lot; which is adjacent to the Health Services Authority hospital. Guards were said to have run him down as he nearly made a successful escape.
The prisoner apparently had a getaway vehicle waiting for him. However, the wrong key was left and he as unable to get the handcuffs off and as a result was “slowed down.”
The West Bay prisoner (27) is serving time for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend and other gun-related offenses.
