(CMR) Police are encouraging the young man responsible for the stabbing death of 22-year-old Michael Aaron Bush of West Bay to turn himself into the Cayman Islands Detention Centre or the nearest police station and explain what happened.
He is described as short, slim build and of medium brown complexion with long natural hair caught in one.
In the immediate aftermath of the stabbing, CMR received information that the man was “a yardy” indicating he's from Jamaica. We have also received photos and pictures with a request to ask some questions about how the matter was handled.
The RCIPS are also appealing for eyewitnesses to assist them with their ongoing investigation into the Christmas Eve murder. They have noted that upwards of 20 persons were in the area immediately following the incident and are urging them to contact the police.
They confirmed that before the fatal stabbing at around 2:00 a.m. there was a disturbance outside the clubs at the Strand and both parties were observed running to the parking lot.
There are also multiple pictures and videos of the incident and people are encouraged to submit them to the RCIPS website at https://www.rcips.ky/submit-a-tip. Contact can also be made to the Major Incident Room at 649-2930.
