CMR will be covering the Grand Court proceedings this afternoon as a application for a stay on the same sex issue will be heard at 2:00 pm.
The Attorney General will be requesting a stay of of the SSM decision pending the full appeal to the Grand Court. What that means is NO ONE would be able to get married under the CJ's decision at this time including the wedding ceremony for Chantelle Day and Vickie Bodden-Bush.
The application for a stay of the same sex marriage ruling will be heard before Appeal Court President Hon. Sir John Goldring and Justices of Appeal Hon. Sir Richard Field and Hon. C. Dennis Morrison.
The decision has seen the community divided along both religious and human rights lines and multiple persons turned out Sunday for an LGBT support walk in central George Town.
CMR will be live streaming the decision to our Facebook page as it is rendered this afternoon.
