(CMR) The headless body of a missing elderly taxi operator from Long Bay, St James in Jamaica, was found on Friday after residents alerted the police that an odor was coming from bushes along a dirt road in Greenwood.
Leslie Harding (74) was reported missing on 1 February but was last seen on 31 January.
The residents went to investigate and stumbled upon the man's headless body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition.
The police said the body was shirtless, clad in a pair of blue jeans pants and a pair of grey and green slippers.
Investigators also found the man's head, dentures, and glasses nearby.
The police are trying to establish a motive for the killing of the senior citizen; however, Harding's car is believed to have been stolen.
