(CMR) As more countries across the English speaking Caribbean begin to relax COVID-19 measures and reopen to tourists, COVID-19 cases continue to rise.
Interesting to note, the major tourist source market, for tourists travelling to the region, the United States, still has in effect a Global Level 4 Health Advisory advising U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19.
While countries in the English speaking Caribbean have seen marginal increases in COVID-19 cases, countries in the Spanish and French-speaking Caribbean have seen the most dramatic rise in cases.
Haiti, for instance, has well over 5,000 cases while neighbouring Dominican Republic has cases in double digits, with the country having reported well over 34,000 cases.
