(CMR) Dart has opened a $1.5 billion resort in Orlando, the Evermore Resort, located just a few miles from Walt Disney World property. The property that was opened on 1st January is home to Orlando’s only artificial lagoon.
Evermore Orlando Resort is a vacation resort boasting more than 2,000 bedrooms spread among a diverse array of accommodations, including rental homes, villas, apartments, and a hotel: the new Conrad Orlando. Every vacation house features a gourmet kitchen, private heated salt-water pool, full-size washer and dryer, ample parking, 24-hour on-site security, and all the conveniences of a hotel.
There are also two golf courses, 15 dining concepts, and fire pits, among many other amenities, which are expected to attract a large number of the millions visiting Orlando each year.
The artificial lagoon offers a unique experience with acres of white sand beaches and guests can swim, kayak, and paddleboard in the 16-million-gallon Evermore Bay, which is eight feet deep at the center and has several zero-entry points.
Chris Kelsey, president of Dart Interests and the resort’s developer, said there are just 80 to 85 of these crystal lagoons in the entire world.
“We think of it as Orlando’s first beachside paradise. We’re situated on over 1,000 acres and up against the entire lakes and wetland system, so you’re really kind of isolated in here in this very lush landscape. You feel like when you drive through the entry, you’ve kind of entered an entirely different realm. That’s the oasis experience that we are keenly trying to create,” Kelsey said.
