(CMR) Police are investigating an armed robbery at Browns Esso On The Run Red Bay, which took place early Friday morning, 5 May.
Reports are that shortly after 3:20 am, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of an armed robbery at a Service Station where two masked men entered the establishment, brandished a gun, and demanded cash from the registers. The men then left on foot with a quantity of cash, appearing to head east.
One of the suspects is described as being about 5’6” in height, of slim build and dark complexion, and was wearing a light-colored jacket with a hood and a mask.
The second suspect is described as being of light complexion, with similar height and build. He was dressed in full black with a dark-colored mask.
The matter is currently under investigation by George Town CID, and anyone with any information or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact 949-4222.
