(CMR) A second man has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm in relation to the fatal shooting of retired prison officer Harry Elliott earlier this year.
Eric Brian Williams Soto (21) of George Town has been charged and appeared in court yesterday, 9 November, and was remanded in custody, pending a further appearance on Friday, 11 November.
Wanted man Justin Kyle Jackson was also arrested and charged earlier this year in relation to the same murder.
Harry Elliott was reportedly shot and killed as he was leaving a business establishment in George Town.
Williams Soto was arrested in a police chase in May but claimed he was not involved in any wrongdoing but ran because he was afraid. He, along with Jackson, ran from a vehicle after they were stopped by police.
Police said as the vehicle came to a halt, two male occupants absconded on foot. Police apprehended and arrested Williams Soto following a chase. Jackson was caught later.
