(CMR) Reports are flooding CMR this morning that a second man has succumbed to his injuries two weeks after he was shot in the early morning hours of July 2. Three men were shot at the location and one passed away immediately.
There is also video footage in the circulation of the shooter in the second incident on July 9 at Vic's Bar off Seymour's Drive making the rounds on social media. The video clip begins at about 1:16 a.m. There appear to be two shooters in the video.
The video clearly shows one shooter approaching the bar while several barmaids and patrons were on the outside standing up. They then saw the shooters coming and quickly ran inside. At least two young men followed and were caught by the gunfire as they fell on the floor.
It appears that one of them may have been the focus of the shooter and the intended victim. However, the video also shows an indiscriminate number of shots being fired randomly inside the bar in different areas.
There is also social media posting in circulation warning people to stay away from three listed bars in the Cayman Islands in anticipation of further violence.
