(CMR) A 4-year-old boy from the Hyderbad city in India was on Tuesday (April 21) mauled to death by pigs.
According to reports from the local police, an alarm was raised after residents in the district stumbled upon the badly bitten body of a boy.
It was later revealed that the boy had left his home at around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday to play nearby.
It is believed that a group of wild pigs, known to traverse the area, got a hold of the child.
The boy’s parents who live in extreme poverty, further exacerbated by the coronavirus lockdown, are said to have made repeated complaints to local authorities about the pigs but nothing was done to remove them from the area.
