(CMR) Cayman Marl Road can now confirm that the man found dead in his car last week in his vehicle is 56-year-old Canadian Graham Heron.
Emergency personnel responded to a report of an unresponsive man in a vehicle said to be found by two women passing by. Fire officers had to cut open the white Honda mini-van for EMT’s to treat the man
Heron is a local photographer and dance instructor and was involved in a number of local productions including the CayFilm Cayman International Film Festival. Heron could often be found at local restaurants taking photos of food or hosting salsa/waltz lessons at World Gym or The Wharf. He operated Cayman Salsa and was especially found of taking bird photos. In 2016 Cayman Salsa traveled to Toronto at the Ontario Federation of Labour.
He resided in Cayman for a number of years. Exclusive CMR sources indicate his roommate found a letter he had left behind. Indicating it was likely self inflicted. However, the RCIPS have publicly said they are awaiting confirmation of cause of death and have not indicated if they suspect foul play. Investigations are ongoing in the matter.
