(CMR) A man has been arrested for attempted murder after assaulting his sister's boyfriend this weekend. He received serious head injuries and was treated at Health City in East End. CMR sources indicate that he has had to have a steel plate placed in his head as a result of the assault.
Police have shared that just after 4:00 am, yesterday morning 24 February, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a serious assault on Kennedy Drive, in George Town. It was reported that two men known to each other were engaged in a verbal disagreement that escalated into one of the men striking the other in the head, causing serious and life threatening injury.
The injured party was transported to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
A 24-year-old-man of George Town was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody pending further investigations.
