(CMR) One of Jamaica's most wanted men who was captured in the Cayman Islands has been deported to Jamaica. According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Rudolph ‘Boxer' Shaw was deported to the island this morning, 27 July.
Shaw was escorted to Jamaica by CBC and Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) officers and was handed over to the Jamaica Authorities.
Shaw is wanted in Jamaica for multiple murders and shootings but managed to elude the police before fleeing to Cayman.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service reported that shortly before 12.30 pm on Friday, 8 July, they arrested Shaw in the vicinity of Seymour Road, George Town. Firearms Response Unit officers in a marked service vehicle approached a vehicle with two occupants.
The vehicle's occupants attempted to evade the police and rammed into the police vehicle, causing their vehicle to become disabled. Police captured the wanted man, while the other man escaped on foot.
