R. DIXON WAS NOT ARRESTED AT ALL!! Rumors circulated since yesterday he shares are NOT true.
(CMR) The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) arrested several men in Cayman Brac on Wednesday evening for a spate of burglaries on Cayman Brac that included the Deputy Premier's late mother's house.
Exclusive CMR sources indicate that at least the two men were arrested. Randy Dixon (33) and Al Pearson from Grand Cayman was also arrested for the same burglaries. Sources indicate that CID was on the Brac and did a bust at his apartment. The alleged burglaries are said to have taken place a number of properties including some rental properties.
Dixon was also arrested in April in relation to the death of Mitchell Ryan; who was found after a hit-and-run incident. It is alleged that Randy Dixon is the owner of the car that was involved in the fatal accident.
An initial report that the wrong man has been arrested appears to have been a rumor circulating on the Brac since yesterday. Despite the sources being close to the young man, R. Dixon contacted CMR to confirm that he has NOT been arrested now or ever for that matter. He shared:
“I just wanted to clear the air on some information regarding myself in Cayman Brac. At no point recently, or ever, have I been arrested or detained by the RCIPS or any other agency. Not sure how these rumors have started in Cayman Brac but seeing how it's such a small community I could see why, and the escalation to which.”
Several sources indicate that his own family was telling them specific details of his arrest and something now seems amiss. However, In response to rumors that this must now be a cover-up Dixon confirmed:
“Haven't been arrested or detained anywhere on the planet in all my years. But thank you for understanding. Not sure why people give you such a hard time. You're a very understanding woman. I'll keep trying to get more information to have this cleared up. If I was ever falsely arrested I would pursue legal action immediately. But, I'll state here and any other forum, on the record, that I've never been arrested or detained”
