(CMR) The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) would like to inform residents that “free mulch” is now available for collection at North Side and East End Temporary Sites from as early as 7 a.m.
Residents are invited to come out early and to bring their shovels and bags for the removal of the mulch from the temporary sites located at the vacant land adjacent to the Old Man Bay dock in North Side and at the East End Civic Centre in East End. The material will be supplied on a first-come, first-served basis. Assistance will be provided to members of the public to load small vehicles on Saturday only.
The DEH is also reminding residents that both temporary sides for the collection of vegetative debris are close to the public. Any vegetation waste and other materials are expected to be taken to the George Town Landfill from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and until 1 p.m. on Saturdays. It is closed on Sunday. However, the landfill drop-off facility at the gate will remain accessible for the public and small vehicles 24 hours per day.
