UPDATE: Police are searching for a male and female in relation to an attempted armed robbery that took place early Thursday morning, 4 November.
(CMR) Three people were reportedly robbed at knifepoint by two suspects on the Seven Mile Public Beach on West Bay Rd early this morning.
Police reports are that shortly before 1:40 am, officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery at the Seven Mile Public Beach. It was reported that three men were seated near the parking lot when two masked persons, a man and a woman, exited a vehicle nearby and approached them.
One of the masked persons brandished a knife and demanded cash. A brief struggle ensued, and the masked persons then returned to their vehicle and drove from the location. One of the three men received minor injuries to his hand during the incident; however, nothing was stolen.
Emergency services attended the location and administered first aid to the man who was injured.
The suspects are were dressed in all black and were wearing black masks. The vehicle they were driving in is believed to be a Honda Fit or similar vehicle.
The matter is currently under investigation, and anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact West Bay CID at 949-3999.
