(CMR) Butterfield Cayman has advised customers that on Friday, 6 October, its Banking Centres will close at 2 p.m., and Butterfield Online will be unavailable from 4 p.m. until Monday, 9 October, at 9 a.m. when the bank reopens for business.
Debit Cards and Credit Cards will still work.
The bank said debit and credit cards would function as normal. For Debit Card users, available funds in their account will be as of 3:30 p.m. on Friday, 6 October, until the system comes back online.
Butterfield urged customers to plan ahead as they will not be able to add funds to their account balance during the update.
ATMs will be operational.
ATMs will be operational, allowing cash withdrawals and deposits; however, balances will be updated on Monday, 9 October. Other ATM services, such as Own Account Transfers, will be unavailable.
The bank said the main purpose of the update is to improve performance, enhance security, and deliver a better overall banking experience.
Changes
After the update, customers will notice some changes in the way things look, but, importantly, their login details and password will remain the same, Butterfield told customers.
Bill Pay Information, including Payees and any Standing Instructions, will remain in place, as well as any previously set up Alerts.
Those who have a loan with the bank will receive a new loan number. Both the old and new numbers will be displayed on the customer's profile.
Corporate Clients
All pending online transactions must be fully approved before 1 p.m. on Friday, 6 October.
All clients will receive direct e-mail communication immediately post-update when online services have resumed.
