(CMR) A 27-year-old man who stole several items, including a phone, from a commercial premises was arrested for burglary on Thursday, 9 May, after officers tracked the phone to a residential address in George Town.
According to the RCIPS, shortly before 2 p.m., Thursday, police responded to a report of a burglary at a commercial premises on South Church Street, George Town.
It was reported that a storeroom was accessed and personal items, including the mobile phone, were stolen. Police tracked the phone to the George Town address, where the man was located, along with the stolen goods and what appeared to be a firearm.
The man was arrested for Burglary and Possession of an Imitation Firearm and transported to the detention center.
The man is also believed to be connected to two armed robberies that occurred over the last week at commercial premises in George Town.
The man remains in custody under investigation for a number of offenses.
