(CMR) Seven male migrants who were sighted in a vessel off Queens Highway in East End early Wednesday morning, 8 May, continued their journey after expressing that they wished to do so.
The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) confirmed that the seven (7) migrants were sighted at approximately 5:30 a.m.
CBC and its partner agencies responded to the scene, and the vessel, which contained all male migrants, expressed that they wanted to continue on their journey.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., the vessel was headed WNW off Cobalt Coast, West Bay, approximately 2 miles from shore, heading West at around 2-3 knots. CBC monitored the vessel from land until it was outside the line of sight.
