(CMR) Geoff Scott, who was recently released from prison, is now facing eight charges, including causing fear of provocation of violence, attempted arson, assaulting a police officer, and disorderly conduct.
Scott (24) of Cayman Brac was arrested on 12 December after police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Cayman Brac between two men known to each other.
He will appear in court today, 15 December.
Last year Scott was sentenced to two years imprisonment for the defilement of a girl under 16 and supplying her with ganja to be followed with a two-year probation order with conditions. He was, however, released within months after getting a 20 percent reduction due to a guilty plea. Time served before the conviction was also taken into consideration.
Scott was also charged with wounding to kill last year after slashing a friend's throat. He reportedly slashed his friend's throat after a night of partying. He spend several days on the mental health ward following the incident.
