(CMR) Nominations are now being accepted for the 2020 Outstanding Service Awards for the Office of the Commissioner of Police (OCP).
The OCP Outstanding Service Awards was established to recognize police officers, civilian staff, special constables, and members of the public for outstanding and meritorious service that enhances public safety and police/public partnerships.
Consideration will be given to staff members, who may be nominated by members of the OCP or by members of the community who have had personal experience with them.
They should display excellence in the core values of the organization. This includes respect, courtesy, integrity, professionalism, and service.
Nominees should also show knowledge of strategic goals of understanding threats, securing the Cayman Islands, ensuring safe communities, and delivering a professional service.
They should also display excellence in achieving broad outcomes as outlined in the Strategic Policing Plan aimed at accomplishing the organization's vision to make the Cayman Islands safer “by working with our Communities, for our Communities.”
Also included in this award scheme is a Community Spirit Award aimed at recognizing members of the community who have demonstrated outstanding service in reaching the police's joint goals of securing the Cayman Islands and ensuring the safety of communities by working with the departments within the OCP.
