(CMR) Sister Island residents can get their first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine today, May 3, from 2 – 4 pm at the Public Health office at Faith Hospital, Cayman Brac, the Health Services Authority has announced. No appointment is required.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is available to persons who are unable to take the Pfizer vaccine due to medical reasons or otherwise prefer to take this vaccine.
The first dose of the vaccine must be administered on Monday, May 3, to ensure the second dose is administered by its expiration date of May 31, 2021. AstraZeneca requires a 28-day interval between each dose. This vaccine has been approved for persons 18 years and older.
The AstraZeneca vaccine requires a consent form for Dose 1. Please click here or see attached. Persons in Grand Cayman can also receive this vaccine on Monday, May 3, at the Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) vaccine clinic 12 pm – 3:30 pm or 5 – 8 pm.
