(CMR) The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is now investigating reports of shots fired in George Town on Saturday, April 10.
At about 7:10 pm, the police received a report of an incident in the vicinity of Welly’s Cool Spot, on Sound Road in George Town, where two men were reported to have brandished firearms during an altercation. The parties involved left the location before the arrival of officers.
Shortly before 9 pm that same night, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of Whitman Seymour Road in George Town. It was reported that two persons were injured during the incident and were subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The matter is currently under investigation, and the police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed either incidents or who has any information to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
