(CMR) Duran Dawkins has been awarded the 2020-2021 Rupert McCoy Memorial Education Grant to pursue his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting. He is also the recipient of the 2020-21 Cayman Islands Government Scholarship.
Dawkins recently joined one of the leading “Big 4” professional accounting firms, Deloitte as an Audit Coordinator. He is excited about this new opportunity and intends to further his accounting career with the organization while gaining world-class experience in the accounting field.
His supervisor, Mike Yacyshyn, Audit & Assurance Director shared:
“We are pleased to welcome Duran to the Deloitte team, and work with him as he continues to advance his career in audit. During his short time with the firm so far, Duran has demonstrated he is hardworking and effective in his role. We look forward to supporting him in further developing his skills and potential.”
Dawkins also shared his goals for the foreseeable future:
“My ultimate goal is never to limit myself and when given a task to fulfill with the highest integrity and much perseverance. I will not give up and always continue to strive to achieve my goals.”, said Duran.
Dawkins previously worked with the national airline, Cayman Airways for almost four years where he was a lead agent.
