(CMR) At least two high profile Jamaican celebrities have returned negative COVID-19 test results following a weekend of partying.
Both dancehall heavy weight Beenie Man and megastar Usain Bolt celebrated their birthday over the weekend.
Their parties have become the source of much controversy after dancehall artiste Ding Dong posted a video from Bolt's party which showed patrons having a whale of a time, with scant disregard for COVID-19 prevention protocols.
Similarly party patrons at Beenie Man's party were said to have disregarded social distancing guidelines.
However since the parties came to public attention dancehall artistes Popcaan and Konshens have announced that they're COVID-free
Konshens on Tuesday morning shared with his fans on social media his negative test result, showcasing his medical slip.
“Ppl saw me going in an coming out suh mi jus a show dis b4 u guh hear seh…..🙄. Dem bad,” he said in the caption that accompanied an image of his negative COVID-19 test result.
Likewise dancehall heavy weight Popcaan took to Instagram to declare he was COVID-19 free.
“Me nuh have no covid 19🙄a must the glock 19..!!! wear unu mask!!! @theunrulyshop,” Popcaan said on Instagram.
However it is unclear if the dancehall artiste has actually been tested.
Other attendees of the party namely, English footballer, Raheem Sterling, have also returned negative results, while others like Christopher Martin, whose status is unclear,has gone into isolation.
