(CMR) Kirk Home Centre has confirmed that they have four employees that have tested positive for COVID-19 just two days after opening back up after the March 25 lockdown. The company was one of the categories of businesses that were able to re-open on Tuesday.
They received confirmation from the Health Services Authority earlier today that four of their staff members were in the latest batch of positive results. The entire company has now undergone company-wide screening for the coronavirus. All are reportedly asymptomatic.
Kirk Home Centre confirmed these persons will remain in insolation according to HSA guidelines. They will also understand additional sanitation and disinfecting by a local company this evening. They shared that:
“Sanitation protocols are a regular part of the daily routines at the store and each evening a third party janitorial service provides additional cleaning and sanitation in accordance with the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States.”
With more private sector and front line staff now being tested the latest results including employees from Al La Kebab and Foster's Supermarket.
