(CMR) Levi Superville, a member of the youth running club 345 Athletics, won the Pirates Week To Hell and Back 10K on Sunday 6th October.

The sixteen-year-old snatched the top spot ahead of 49 other runners with the top time of 38 minutes 45.07 seconds. Wyatt Bodden crossed the line second (43:29.06) just ahead of Douglas Anderson (43:46.05) who snagged third overall.

In the female division, 345 Athletics Club runner Ava Hider (17 years old) finished the course in 47 minutes 33.02 seconds, taking first place. Charlotte Cloete was the second female finisher with a time of 49:23.02. Megan Webb-Sanders completed the 10K in third place with a time of 51:42.01.

“Congrats to all the participants especially the top finishers and to Levi, Ava, and Wyatt who are all 345 Athletics team members. Pirates Week is proud to offer one of the few 10k events on the island and to see the youth taking part and doing well is extremely uplifting,”

Melanie McField, Pirates Week General Manager

“We are grateful for the Ministry of Sports and Calico Jack’s for sponsoring this event once again. We also want to offer a big thanks to our dedicated volunteers; Pirate, Alberto Campuzano who cheered on the runners out at the Hell Attraction; the Cayman Islands Red Cross and Royal Cayman Islands Police Service who offered support in maintaining the safety of the runners and Race Caribbean for their professional race management services,”

added Ms. McField.

Proceeds from the Pirates Week To Hell and Back 10k benefit the 345 Athletic Club. View full results here: http://www.racecaribbean.net/events/hell-n-back-10k-2019-results
