(CMR) The corner of Eastern Avenue and School Road is about to change. Young World Fashions has been a staple on Cayman’s retail scene for well over thirty years at the busy location. However, the end of an era is here as they prepare to shut their doors with a closeout sale which started yesterday.

They will be selling all contents including uniforms, shoes and men’s/women’s wear.
The two-story building is also for sale for the US $ 1,707,317 and boats 6000 sq. ft building on .21 acre parcel of land.
Clinton and Lucy Blake owned the boutique. They migrated to Cayman from Jamaica when their children were young. CMR sources indicate that the father passed away in November 2017.
We understand the owners only have several children including Marlene and Bruce Blake. Ms. Blake apparently lives overseas after being convicted of falsifying her degree and CPA qualifications. Read more here.
Mr. Blake, a former Maples attorney, and CPA is currently embroiled in the Cayman Islands Football Association criminal probe and was arrested last year in relation to the matter. He maintains his innocence and has not yet been charged.
