(CMR) The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is investigating the death of a 63-year-old visitor from the UK who reportedly fell from a balcony Wednesday evening. CMR reported the incident after 5 pm Wednesday.
Reports are that just after 5 pm police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 911 Communications Centre to Ashgo Street, George Town, where it was reported that a man fell from the second story of a storage building.
It was reported that the victim and two other persons were standing on the outside balcony of the storage facility, which had a railing on the second floor when one of the three fell from the second-story balcony to the ground floor.
Emergency Medical Services attended the location and transported the man to the hospital by ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
The police are reviewing the circumstances of this incident.
