(CMR) The Brac was not left out in celebrating the latest arrival to Cayman Airway's fleet – The Boeing 737 Max 8 early today.
There was a landing party in the Brac where several hundred local residents and dignitaries enjoyed the plane's arrival at the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport at around 11:00 am this morning. By all accounts, the event was well received and residents were happy to be included in the celebrations.
Cayman Airways staff were invited to accompany the flight. The resident was treated with refreshments and a tour of the plane. Pilots were Captain Perry Panton and Captain Frederick Whorms.
The plan returned this afternoon to Grand Cayman around 3:15 pm.
