(CMR) Royale Medical and Wellness Centre has been hit with another lawsuit. Vanguard Risk Solutions Limited has filed a lawsuit against the medical facility for default payments on a promissory note of $29,624.
According to the summons filed, the promissory note was payable to Vanguard with the initial installment of $2,250 on the 15th of January and 2,250 per month until the entire amount is paid. A condition of the promissory note was that any default of payment on any installment would see the entire amount owed be due in full.
Royale Medical has reportedly failed to pay any installment due despite requests made by Vanguard Risk Solutions, including a written letter dated 13 February 2024.
With Royale Medical in breach of the terms of the promissory note, Vanguard Solutions is seeking judgment for the amount owed, $29,624, along with interest as special damage pursuant to Section 57 of the Bills of Exchange Act at a rate of 10 percent per annum from 9 January 2024 to the date of trial.
Just last month, Bay Town Plaza, BTP Development Limited, the operators of Bay Town Plaza, filed a writ of summons against Royale Medical and Wellness Center Ltd. for US $108,968.71 after the medical facility allegedly breached its lease and caused damage to the property.
In November 2023, Laboratory Corporation of America sued Royale Medical for $86,096.71 owed for services rendered. Two doctors also filed lawsuits against the facility for outstanding salaries.
