(CMR) The RCIPS confirmed yesterday that they arrested a police officer for the Royal Bank burglary that occurred in June 2016.
They revealed that detectives with the Serious Crime Review Team of the RCIPS arrested a man, age 46 of George Town. He has now been suspended from duty and is currently on police bail.
Cayman Marl Road sources have now confirmed that the officer is Wade Gordon of Portmore, Jamaica. He was originally working in Cayman as a security guard before being recruited into the police force. He was stationed in Cayman Brac for a time. He also worked for the Jamaica Constabulary Force before migrating to the Cayman Islands.
CMR sources indicate it had something to do with a stolen overnight deposit bank bag.
