(CMR) Veteran journalist and playwright Barbara Gloudon died Wednesday night in hospital. She died days after her husband Ancile Gloudon.
“Mom's gone looking for her husband,” her daughter Anya told Jamaica Gleaner following her passing.
For decades, Mrs. Gloudon was the scribe behind the Little Theatre Movement's annual pantomime.
She was also a former features editor at The Gleaner and hosted Radio Jamaica's talk show, ‘Hotline' for over 30 years from the 1980s until her departure in 2015.
Mrs. Gloudon was inducted into the Press Association of Jamaica's Hall of Fame in 2013.
She was bestowed with the Order of Jamaica in 1992 and, in 2012, became a fellow of the Institute of Jamaica.
