(CMR) Two men, one brandishing a machete, robbed China Village in George Town last night.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Sevice(RCIPS) reported that shortly after 9 pm March 10, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business in Plaza Venezia on North Sound Road, George Town.
It was reported that two men entered the business, one brandishing a machete, and demanded cash from the employees there. They then fled the scene on a blue scooter, in the direction of the intersection of North Sound Road and Shedden Road, with a quantity of cash taken from the register.
The suspects were described as being dressed in dark-colored clothing and wearing gloves. One of the men wore a helmet; the other, who appeared to be of fair complexion, wore a hoodie and mask covering the bottom half of his face.
The matter is currently under investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
