(CMR) Two members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) are currently battling for their life at the Spanish Town hospital after they were involved in an early morning shootout with gunmen in Horizon Park.
Two cops were killed in the incident.
Reports are that the team from the St Catherine North were on an operation in search of wanted men and firearms when they were attacked.
The injured cops including Superintendent Leon Clunis are now in hospital undergoing surgical operations.
The JCF flag is being flown at half-mast following the shooting incident
“We remain resolute in carrying our mandate to serve & protect the people of Jamaica. We are not daunted by the acts of criminals; we are #AForce4Good, ” said the JCF in a Tweet.
