(CMR) Mrs. Thelma Range celebrated her 100th birthday in style yet again this year with a special visit from HE The Governor, Martyn Roper and his fie Lissie, North Side MLA Ezzard Miller along with family and friends. The Governor delivered a letter from Her Majesty The Queen to mark the occasion.
Mrs. Thelma turned 100 on September 3rd and shared that she is so blessed to have reached such a milestone and continues to street the importance of putting God first in your life. This year's celebration was a bit quieter due to the COIVD pandemic; however, that did not stop from thoroughly enjoying herself.
The governor shared on Facebook that he was “so honoured to meet a number of people over the last two years who have celebrated their 100th year.”
The Governor and his wife shared some refreshments and wonderful conversations with her as she shared a bit about her life and how she arrived in Cayman many years ago. Also in attendance where the Reverand Rohan Forrester. former student Paul Ebanks and Lucy Ebanks and Linda Connolly. Her daughter Paula was also in attendance.
Mrs. Thelma was blessed with three girls: Karen Range, Paula Range and Wilberlee Range. she also has three 3 grandchildren: Nia Prendergast. Anthony King, Christopher King and Skyler Russell and one great grandchild: Sariyah Prendergast.

CMR had the pleasure of interviewing Mrs. Thelma last year when she turned 99 and we are looking forward to being with her next year for the 101 party!
