(CMR) The Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture & Heritage (MYSCH), along with the Pirates Week Office, has advised that November’s Pirates Week 2021 landing, parade, and district day activities have been postponed due to safety concerns with the ongoing community spread of COVID-19.
Despite the postponement of the larger events, organizers confirm that the 41st Pirates Week 5k Sea Swim will still take place on Saturday, 13 November 2021, at the Governor’s Beach. The race starts at 7 am, with registration from 6 am to 6:45 am. Discussions are also underway for possible firework displays in various districts (details, times and dates to be confirmed).
