(CMR) Three shoplifters are on the loose after targeting several stores in Camana Bay on the afternoon of Friday, October 16, 2020. Despite having a fairly good idea of who the alleged perpetrators are along with CCTV footage the police have not made an arrest some 10 days later.
The suspected thieves include one male and two females that targetted several tenants in the high-end shopping plaza. Police were provided with surveillance camera footage and many were hoping for a swift arrest. However, we have been reliably informed that the matter does not appear to be a priority as the culprits still walk free.
The trio was at Camana Bay between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on October 16 wandering in and out of various stores. Video footage exists of all three walking into stores in Camana Bay last Friday, acting in a very suspicious manner and being observed shoving items into their handbags and leaving without payment. It is understood that they took a large number of goods.
Other retailers in the complex have been asked to see if they may have unknowingly also been victimized on that day.
Sadly retailers who are dealing with declined sales during the COVID-19 pandemic still are faced with criminals who are keen to take advantage of them.
