(CMR) Several serious motor vehicle accidents over the weekend caused injuries to residents in Cayman Brac requiring hospitalization of at least one person.
On Saturday evening around 7:55 p.m., police officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries along West End Road East. In accident involved two vehicles and a Colombian cyclist. The pedal-cyclist received broken ribs and ankle and was transported to the Faith’s Hospital for treatment. Independent sources shared he was flown to Grand Cayman for further treatment.
Both vehicles and the pedal cycle received minor damages. Investigations are on-going in this matter.
In the second incident on Sunday evening when approximately 7:30 p.m. the police were called to a report of a single-vehicle MVA with injuries at the junction of the Bluff View West Road and Stake Bay Bluff Road. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and received injuries. As of Sunday he remained hospitalized and the vehicle received extensive damage.
Investigations are going in this matter also.
