(CMR) Service providers including the CUC, WAC, and phone and cable providers have provided an update on their services.
CUC: Major outages Island-wide. No power to the substations right now. This is not necessarily an indication of widespread damage, just that there are system-wide instances of faults that would cause circuits to be opened to avoid the potential for unsafe situations; system is operating in ‘non-reclose’ mode right now.
WAC: Low system pressure reported at Lower Valley and Red Gate pump houses, but the water distribution system is okay. WAC Customers may experience slightly lower water pressure.
Cayman Water has reports of very low pressure in some areas. They are still assessing the situation.
Phone & Data Service – Flow fibre outage along the Queen’s Highway. Suspected break in the cable; also 2 cell sites down and 2 MSANS down (Queen's Highway).
Digicel Mobile Data/Internet service down in the Savannah area – Voice network still up. There are now multiple site outages in Town and all throughout eastern districts.
C3 operations is on generator; network links are functional, but some customers have no service due to power outage.
