(CMR) Exclusive sources are indicating that Sean-Michael MacDonald (35) the captain of Pepper Jelly has been arrested in the boating accident that killed two persons and left a third person seriously injured.
The police have confirmed that a 35-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and he was bailed as the investigation continues.
MacDonalds was the driver of the Pepper Jelly boat on the evening of August 11, 2019. He is said to operate several boats including the Mango Jam out of Camana Bay.
Many social media commentators mentioned concerns and knowledge of alleged alcohol and/or drug use. One eyewitness indicated that the operators of the boat were seen purchasing alcohol at the wine company located at Camana Bay.
Sources indicate that at least six persons disembarked at the Camana Bay location around 7:00 pm that evening; several hours before the collision. Deceased are local businessman Emmanuel Brown (49) and a 70-year-old passenger.
Brown's girlfriend was also on the boat and has since returned to Jamaican to continue her medical treatment. CMR understands she has a long recovery ahead of her after being in ICU here for some time.

CMR EXCLUSIVE: Sean-Michael MacDonald was on the WestJet flight to Toronto yesterday. He was later escorted off by immigration officers.
UPDATE: December 11, 2019
Police announced that MacDonald who was arrested in relation to the above incident has been formally charged with 2 counts of Manslaughter and one count of Assault GBH. He appears in court this morning, 11 December.
