When was the last time you had a Caribbean classic, Fish Tea?
It is the perfect Saturday for some fish tea, CMR will show you how to make it below.
Here's what you'll need:
2lbs Fish Cuttings
2 Whole Fish
6 Okra
4 Green Bananas
2 Potato
2 Cho Cho
1 Scotch Bonnet Pepper
2 Cloves Garlic
1 TBS Pimento Seeds
2 Limes
1 Onion
Escallion/ Spring Onion
Excelsior crackers
Preparation:
Divide the fish into two halves, fish head, de-bone and set flesh aside.
Wash fish with limes.
Dice up garlic, spring onion, and scotch bonnet pepper.
Peel green bananas, and dice them in to round pieces, keep in container with water until time to place into pot
Directions:
Place the fish including cuttings into a pot with water and bring to a boil.
Seasoning the pot: add in pimento seeds, garlic, escallion, pepper and allow to boil for 10-12 minutes.
Add green bananas, cho-cho, okra , potato and carrot to the pot; once cooked allow to simmer and serve hot with Excelsior crackers
