(CMR) The police have confirmed that no further action will be taken against American actor Armie Hammer (34) after a complaint was received against him posting a video on his Instagram page.
The RCIPS have confirmed that on January 15, 2021, the RCIPS received an allegation of misuse of ICT in relation to a suggestive video that had been posted on social media. Officers investigated the matter and spoke to the suspect, who was warned about his conduct, in accordance with the wishes of the complainant. The matter is now closed.
Hammer has been making news all over the world in recent weeks for a number of things including the video posted on his private IG account. He claims the video was “stolen”. The video went viral in the Cayman Islands because he mentioned that the person was “Miss Cayman”.
He has since apologized for his mistake and what he claims is an attempt at humor. However, neither the reigning Miss Cayman nor the Miss Cayman Universe Committee found any humor in the publication. The committee demanded an apology calling the video disturbing and indicating it went against what the pageant and the titleholder represent.
Many speculated about the ID of the young lady seen on all fours on a bed at the Ritz Carlton being a young Caymanian woman.
