(CMR) Premier of the Cayman Islands, Hon. Wayne Panton has left the island to speak at the 14th Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) being held in Miami from 26-28 April.
Mr. Panton was expected to address the forum at 8:30 Wednesday morning, 27 April.
CREF is a new conference designed to drive forward renewable energy implementation across the region. Backed by key government agencies and some of the world’s leading sources of development finance, CREF is a hands-on, results-oriented event that will tackle the bottle-neck issues of financing, regulation, and long-term project profitability.
The 2022 forum, attended by participants from over 25 countries, is bringing together policy-makers, regulators, utilities, investors, developers, and financiers in an environment that encourages the market to meet, originate, and transact.
CREF is said to be a vital forum for the region and essential for any organization expecting to play a role in the renewable energy future of the Caribbean.
