(CMR) The Port Authority is urging persons to clear and collect cargo and boat owners to secure their vessels as the Cayman Islands could be impacted by severe weather this weekend.
In a release, the Port Authority said with severe weather systems forecast to potentially impact the Cayman Islands this weekend, and early next week, importers with cargo already here or with cargo on the way are asked to clear it with Customs and collect it as soon as possible. Those customers who have received an online ID from PACI can see when their cargo is available.
Persons with vessels moored in George Town Harbour or along Seven Mile Beach are urged to monitor both severe weather systems, which may potentially impact the Islands this weekend. Boatowners should secure their vessels and seek the appropriate safe harbor or shelter by this weekend.
