(CMR) Kenneth Bryan was the first non-member of the Unity Government to meet with the newly appointed Governor, Martyn Roper.
Speaking to Cayman Marl Road the George Town Central representative noted that they had a very lively discussion on various topics including good governance. He is already calling upon the governor to examine why the current administration is refusing the move forward with the formal establishment of district councils.
Bryan noted,
“I intend to maintain constant communication with him so that I can continue to serve the people to the best of ability. I am hopeful that we can see the implementation of district councils so that the George Town Central community can directly benefit from the allocation of government funds and many needed programs.”
Bryan was also the first to have the governor on a live Facebook video which was shared to his page.
In this video, the governor also announced that the community can expect to see his own Facebook account go live in the near future.
Governor Roper arrived on Monday and is the island's 14th UK appointed governor.
