UPDATE: Henry York Carter, who was wanted by the police, has been arrested.
(CMR) The police are seeking the public's assistance to locate Henry York Carter, who has broken terms of his conditional release from Her Majesty’s Prison Northward.
Carter (41), who was last known to be living in Bodden Town, must now be returned to continue his custodial sentences, the police said.
Meantime, police said Otis Melbourne Myles (34) of George Town, who was also wanted for breaching his conditional release, was located today and has been transported to Her Majesties Prison, Northward.
According to the Police Law (2017 Revision), the public is reminded that to obstruct, mislead or act in such a way as to prevent the apprehension of a person who has committed an offense is illegal. If prosecuted for such an offense, a person may be liable on conviction to a fine of $5000 or imprisonment for two years or both.
The police are encouraging anyone with information about Carter's whereabouts to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222. Carter is also encouraged to turn himself over to the Cayman Islands Detention Centre, or the nearest active police station, at any time, day or night.
