(CMR) John Briceno the Prime Minister of Belize tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday (November 23).
A statement, released by the Office of the Prime Minister, announced that the PM had tested positive and would remain in isolation for two weeks, following which Briceno would be re-tested.
Following news of the Prime Minister’s diagnosis, his office issued a reminder urging the public to continue to wear masks, practice social distancing, and to follow ministry guidelines.
Briceno was recently returned to power in the 2020 general election.
